I plan to try my car out this spring. Sat out all drag racing last summer due to POS trans/convertor. That is all replaced now. Soon as i figure out the funky noises in the rear...i'm hitting the track!!

This may be a dumb question, but does an aftermarket adj. Panhard bar help with launching?.

I have a 2011 GT Auto with minor bolt-ons. With borrowing some extremely used drag radials (2 plugs and almost no tread) with UPR UCA/LCAs, I could only get a best of a 1.93 60ft. I have now added 25hp and bought brand new rubber so I am expecting the 60ft to drop. However I am troubleshooting a different issue...Have a horrible clunk every time you touch or release the gas pedal since I installed UPR Upper and Lower Control Arms (with shims from UPR sent later as well). Had three shops take a look and reinstall them to no avail trying to rid of the clunk. I have heard that the Roush Upper uses a hard rubber bushing in the upper versus poly and that the Roush has virtually no NVH issues. Can anyone else attest to this? I am thinking of selling the UPR goods and getting the Roush Upper. Are the lowers needed to reduce wheel hop if I go only with the Upper?

Thanks for all of your help!

I've had a Roush Upper for most of the past 2 years. When I was n/a there was no wheel hop. After adding a supercharger the wheel hop returned sporadically.

Also, I noticed nothing re:NVH when it was on the car. (I just lowered mine and replaced it with an adjustable BMR upper a few weeks ago).

All noise went away immediately by replacing the UPR upper and lower control arms with the Roush Upper Control Arm and the GT500 Lower Control Arms! Off to the track for testing soon

GeorgeInNePA, they look similar but have a harder durometer rubber bushing. So I get a little better performance but keep the quietness ;)

Would having the panhard bar off upset the caster some? My pass side wheel sits back about 1cm toward the rear more than the driver side. The left side sticks out just a tad more than right. But then some days it's almost as if the right side sticks out a tad further but caster remains same. Also at times the car will pull hard left upon hard acceleration. But my diff is bad and I'm thinking thats just the right side pulling because that was side doing the burnout when we found out diff is bad. I have lca's from freedom racing. Non adjustable but I wouldn't think theyd be out of tolerance in length so much. Maybe time for adjustables?
