Well UPR went a 1.35 60' without relo brackets.. BMR is obviously going to use their relo brackets to go the same.. Good luck BMR. I broke the passenger side in half. Matt D broke a set last year at NMRA. I'm just going to weld some 1/4" steel plates to the stock brackets. Your 1/16 isn't working.

anyone knows if someone is going 7's on a 3 link suspension ?

Our car went 8.0's in 2005. Maybe it was early 2006. :beer:

You broke a set of ours in half? Why wasn't I contacted? Can you please send some information to [email protected]

Also, are you saying that MattD broke OUR brackets? If so, you are mis-informed....and he actually swapped to OUR brackets because they are the only set he can use (without welding) that handle what he has to give.

Please send that info over. Something is not right, unless those may have been our older design, and were not welded?

What is 1/16?

Matt broke the bolts, not the brackets.
I don't think it's possible if installed right,and welded.

Matt broke the bolts, not the brackets.
I don't think it's possible if installed right,and welded.

The CHE brackets don't break and work fine as a bolt-on. I have had the same brackets on 2 cars running 1.5 60' times. They are thick and durable.

Just to clear some things up.

*Our current design has not had a failure (it is a bolt-on design)
*I am not aware of anyone having a bolt failure with our relo brackets either
*MattD, to my knowledge...was not using our brackets when he had bracket OR bolt failures. I do know, he was tired of bending, breaking, and cracking brackets and bolts....and installed ours. He has not alerted me of any issues...and I know he would, immediately.

That being said, our brackets offer the most IC / Anti-Squat adjustment, and we are not aware of a single failure.

PSFracer used our brackets for a few trips to the track, with his slicks....1000hp....and tranny brake....bolted on. I agreed with his decision to weld them, considering he was going to be hitting that 1,000hp with an additional 300 worth of nitrous..

If you guys are comparing 60s with and without reloc brackets and showing the same 60, wouldn't that mean that adding the brackets drop that 1.5 even lower haha? The debate is that they are useful or that they work. Comparing 60s doesn't have a recordable way to account for driver :)

Just a thought.

Well, you have a point.

BUT...being a suspension company, why would we take a heavy car, make a TON of power...and run a HUGE tire?

To make a point, you have to prove that the suspension works...not the tires. An automatic car with a good power curve, and a huge tire = good sixty foot. Heck, even without any aftermarket suspension....as you can witness with Kelley Performance's mustang that cuts 1.3 with stock suspension on a big tire.


Here is our result from using LCA Relocation Brackets:
*Tested with nitrous on the launch, through the 330' mark

WITH: Best of 1.50 on a 265/40/18 Drag Radial, with stock 18" GT wheels.

WITHOUT: Best of 1.8X on same tire and wheel


Our car is the perfect test car. It is an auto with a tiny stall converter....and tiny tires. When using nitrous off the line, you hook or you don't.....when using an 18" Drag Radial.

There isn't really anything to debate, LCA Relocation brackets work. :beer:

GT.350-R is just one of MANY of my customers who went from spinning and inconsistent launches....to bogging, from just a LCA Relo Bracket swap. He is a true testament...or his car, that they work. He races his manual trans car in a HUGE class of automatics...and gets just about every single car out of the gate with his RT and 60' time, each and every pass.

Oh, I believe in them. I am just saying for the gentleman saying he got the same 60 without it, maybe he would go even lower WITH them. I personally was doing low 1.9s without them launching at under 3k on 555 street tires. Then added Reloc brackets and launched at 4800 ish and have a best of 1.873. Just like that. I personally truly believe in them.

i run the relocation brackets and cut consistent 1.50-1.51 60's. they havent broken anything but the spider gears. altho my concern now is to get the tubes welded for fear of them going out of spec. that will be done before cooler weather and a few more upgrades to see if i can get down to the 10.6x 10.7x range.

We havent had our car since the start of NMRA in March (the car travels with the schedule)

I should have some results for you after the blower is on, which should be in a month or two.

I wish we had a manual trans in the car. Hooking with an Auto isn't very hard, but it should still be fun.

I looked at quite a few relo bracket setups before I settled on Metco. I had to do some custom fab to my UPR rod end LCAs to get them to work together, but I can't imagine ANY scenario in which the Metco relo brackets would break or bend. They are thick, they are heavy, and they wrap the bottom half of the axle tube. Bolt in, no welds.
