I went with arp head studs as well but alot of guys swear the tty stock bolts are fine still.

I went with the oil pump instead at the time thinking the studs would be easier to put in with the motor in the car I was running out of cash after the new motor... Once I get all my schooling done and on a fire dept. the car will get more attention again !!! And I will have more money to throw at it!!

i think everyone needs to step back an calm down.

a few of us, or possibly just me, know the reason Matt needed help with the first motor blew. it was a legit and frankly scary situation that was unforeseen. i know when i gave matt money that he was going for blood vs DC and had no problem donating to him.

shit happens, and this the GOLDEN standard of what happens when it does. wether matts is at fault is a non point. the motor went. it knew it was going to be on the edge and whatever cause the spike obviously killed it.

having a forum pissing match is of no use to anyone. Marcs shop has been flamed on other boards by frankly morons and that why Marc gets heated up about his tuner being called into question. its a long story not worth getting into on here. locals will know what I'm talking about. some locals like to blame the (marcs)tuner for everything, even when it not nearly the case. i don't have an affiliation with TMS and even i get sick of hearing the crap said about that shop. its annoying and all petty and frankly based of things that happened long ago before Marc took the helm there.

lets all move on and try to save this thread.

I was going to go through quoting statements from people, but fuck it. I'm just going to say that you may want to be aware of the entire situation before passing judgement. Why do you think I've kept my mouth shut about my opinion on the situation? Do you know Matt's current situation? I DO. Do you know if he has paid me for the motor or even if he is going to be? I DO. And it seemed to me that when Marc decided he was going to set up a donation thread for Matt (which he definitely didn't ask for), he was nothing more than EXTREMELY appreciative.

Hemi LOL, I've never met you (Matt says your a good guy) but I think there may be even more to the story than you know my friend. I'm not the kind of person to run around bad mouthing but I'm also not the type of person that has any problem calling peoples bullshit, popular or not.

i think we need to drop the CSI investigation of the motor. it blew. the details don't need to be discussed any longer. there is absolutely nothing that can come from it. one way or the other. imho.

im interested to see what a 298 and a 76mil do!

He should have been easy on the motor that the forum and Marc paid for.

Marc- I respect what you did for Matt and for the info you have always provided on this forum and thru PMs. I really hope this isn't going to leave a bad taste in your mouth and make you want to step back from being a contributing member in this community.

Matt- Good luck on Built Part 4, as a responsible individual and somebody who realizes the risks involved in pushing the envelope. By your own words, Dan has saved your ass big time and the forum and Marc set you up last time. Unless you win the lottery or are able to save your own ass the next time, maybe you should tone it down a few notches and be happy with even 500RWHP. Pushing the envelope and seeing how you like to really push it, probably means a part 5 will be in your future. Im on part 2 myself

buzz, with all due respect; its not that matt didn't have the money. its that the money allocated for the build had to go a serious matter...that matt doesn't need to share with you or anyone. it was his personal life.

he didn't ask for the thread or the money. his friends gladly did it for him. so unless you contributed buzz(and even then), it might not be a bad idea to skip this turn to speak.
