To me, the 05-09 hoods are too flat. If I owned one I would have to do something with it, I dont think I could leave it stock.

Whether its bolted on or taped, what difference does it make? At the end of the day it is still a fake hood scoop.

Personally, I don't like fake scoops. That's one thing that always bugged me about Ford .. they love fake scoops.

I would go with a shaker if I wanted a hood scoop. A functional one .. not a stick on :)

My thoughts.

Another thought. My buddy has an '06 that HAD the taped-on fake side scoops. They have removed themselves for him. Naturally, one at a time so he drove around with one side scoop for a few months. I bugged him to just rip off the other one--apathy worked in this case & it solved itself.

My old '08 GT had a Roush bolt/tape on scoop from the dealer and I hated it from day one. It never sat completely flush with the hood, which is bad enough. But because of that, it rattled on the hood and marked up the paint.

OP, if you use the 3M doubled sided tape, I would think there'd be no need to drill holes. That stuff is no joke.

I vote no. Tacked on parts look cheap to me. I like the look of your car without it. Nice and clean.
