Do you have the new motor yet?

No, because I'm stupid and lost out on 2 deals, but now I have one being shipped out on Friday which is good, because now I can start selling the parts that I will be changing out as of now :)

I've been waiting on my friend for awhile now to come and help me with the project (he is being paid for this), so I figured I learn how to take apart the motor myself. I know the basic shit, grab a few beers, get the tools out, go to work.

The motor has been in a corner waiting to be put on the stand. I took off the clutch, pressure plate, and I guess the transmission ring?, and put it aside.

(THEY WILL BE FOR SALE SOON!)

Next, getting the engine on the stand. I took off the fingers for the stand and started hooking it up to the transmission. Once that was set, I dragged over the shop lift and started hooking up the chains to it. After I made sure everything was good, we went airborn!

Everything went great, up until getting the motor on the stand. I didn't realize the motor was sideways when I lifted it, so I had to turn the entire motor straight in order for the pipe to fit inside the engine stand. After a few tries, I got it in and locked it.

I don't have an air compressor nor an impact wrench so I can't remove some "SPS" bolts. I figured I'd stop there until I went to Harbor Freights and bought myself the tools needed.

I came home a few hours ago from a nice ride (very cool breeze here in FL right now), and still had some life in me for the night so I went and see what else I could do. I looked at my cams and saw that I could probably get them off and out of the way. I unscrewed everything, and put it all aside.

I took everything and put it into my handy portable CraftsMan Supply Tool Box so I don't misplace anything.

As you can probably see, I'm tired and worn out, I'm calling it a night tonight. Tomorrow I need to take the heads off, and may need some helpful hints on it. I'll keep you all posted!
