ok so most know I blew my engine almost 3 months ago. Ive been waiting for my new engine to come in and I was in the process of graduating college, etc so I never got the time to pull the engine.

Well, yesterday, I got the motor pulled out of the car. Tonight I had to honors of tearing her down to see what she looks like inside. This is my first engine teardown ever, so seeing the carnage was crazy. I know some of you have dealt with this before, but it was actually pretty cool to see it all. And also to see how everything in the engine goes together.

Anyways, on to the pics.

I'm SO sorry for I'm about to say.

As soon as I saw the oil baffle plate, I started laughing my ass off! I've done that once or twice myself over the years! So I know your pain. I bet you can laugh about it now, but not at first. LOL! You did one HELL of a good job at destroying that motor, you should be proud! You've not owned a sports car until you've grenaded an engine and built a new one to replace it!

What is that piece in picture 5 and 6? It looks like a girdle right above the pick up tube?!

I hate seeing stuck like this makes me not want to drive my car lol.
It's like when someone shows you a video on how hotdogs are made.

Its the factory windage tray.

I appreciate it, i looked up just now what they do! I have never heard of them before, and its neat what they are designed for!

I foresee a forged rotating assembly in your future! Good luck!
