SOLD!
Hello buyers,
Currently up for offer is a Steeda Tri-Ax shifter for MT-82 Mustangs (2011-2014 GT, V6), and a Barton Single Post Lower Bracket. These were installed on my car before I bought it, so I do not know the exact mileage on them. I had bought the car with about 7,000 miles two years ago, and it was one of the first mods I replaced within 500 miles. Both in "good" working condition when I took them out, but read on below for extra details.
Steeda Tri-Ax:
There is nothing wrong with the shifter if you just drive normal or run down the strip. My only issue with the Steeda shifter is the reverse lockout spring. Apparently Steeda allows you to swap out the lockout springs in these, and they give you two (soft and stiff). The previous owner had put the softer one in there because the other was too stiff for him. Problem is, for me, when I do HPDEs or multiple autocross runs on a hot day, the soft lockout spring gets weak, and sometimes you will have to pull up to shift into first. This is only an issue when moving from a stop. When I contacted the previous owner for the stiffer spring, he said he had lost it. I am not sure if Steeda can offer the stiffer spring as I have not contacted them about it.
Other than that, this shifter is fine. I had no problems with it, but ended up going to a Barton with a stiffer spring and shorter throws. The Steeda shifter is actually smooth and comfortable for a regular driver, and better than factory. If I had access to the stiffer spring, I would probably still be using it today.
Barton Single Post:
I did not know until I went to swap out the shifter that the previous owner had also already installed a Barton Single Post. I had bought one along with the Barton shifter, so I replaced it anyways. Essentially, the single post I am selling now is just an extra that I do not need. These single post brackets do pretty well vs. OEM brackets.
