MT82 Grinding into 2nd

What's the deal with this dang tranny?? Ford has been using the MT82 since 2004 in their Transit panel vans in Europe and Asia. I have a feeling the 5.0 is destroying them.

Interesting thread! I have been so impressed with this transmission and clutch, especially compared to previous Mustangs. With 2000 miles of LA commute traffic, the clutch and transmission remain as smooth as the day of delivery.

I wonder if the "skip shift" feature doesn't play into some of the issues folks are seeing. At least in my style of driving, this feature rarely tries to invoke itself, but a few times when it has, the resistance to moving into second could be interpreted as a notchy shift; never heard any grinding or other noises though.

I have a question why a question why didn't the tr6060 get put in from the gt500?
