Mustang bogging out

I have noticed the last couple of days the mustang sounds like it is bogging out, and a smell of gas. I am not getting any codes showing. I have installed O2 sensors, fuel filter, CHT sensor last month due to codes. So i did notice the all thecoil packs but one was alittle loose so will this make it bog out?

Seems like you are having all kinds of problems.
Clean tb and maf, check all the cops and plug conenctions and check/replace spark plugs and see if that fixes it.

Did the Maf when I did the fuel filter and O2 sensors. Was going to order the spark plugs this week. Yeah all the problems started when I washed the car last month, plus it has 75,000 miles on it.

So the spark plugs can do this? I was told the plugs was not to be changed out 100,000 mile.

Yeap, if you are bogging and smell fuel its because of poor combustion which is lack of spark, ie. spark plug or cop problem.

I changed plugs at 25,000 miles, i def wouldnt think of waiting 100K miles to change plugs, your 05 has the 2 piece plug design too, which might cause trouble when you try to remove them, especialy at 75k miles. They can corrode and gunk and get stuck and break apart.

Here's 2 dyno graphs, the first with bad cops and plugs...the second was after replacing and re-tuning.. They were my OEM cops which had 112k miles on them and the plugs only had 3k on them but were used to break in the new engine build. These were before I installed my LT's so I don't know what I'm making now.

You talking coil packs or spark plug wires.... Not really mechanical

There are no spark plug wires in our cars. The coils connect right on top of the plugs.

oh ok I really have not paid attention so will replacing the spark plugs be my best bet.

I would strongly suggest you use the search mode and read up about changing the two piece plugs. You should spray them the night before [at the very least] with PB blaster and let it soak in before you try and remove em.

Good luck, where you taking it? Hopefully ford! because if they dont know about the issue on these plugs you r most likely going to have broken spark plugs in your heads.

Was going to take it to Gearheadz. When I was there last he mentioned the issue with the plugs. He said that if they break you needed a tool to get them out plus they are easy to take out if they are warm.

Best of luck, let us know how it goes. If the plug is fuzed in place from carbon deposits it doesnt matter if the car is warm or cold btw.

I had my plugs done at 70k, 5 of the 8 broke. I told the mechanic beforehand of the issue and why I brought it to him. He let the plugs soak for 3 days and they still broke.

Yeah I had it to him for the O2 sensors. he took couple of plugs out to check them. He said that they was easy to take out, so i assume when the dealer got the car they put new ones in.
