As some of you heard a while back my N/A 3V that made some pretty good HP/TQ spun a bearing. So I decided to build a new boosted engine and we are getting closer every day.

Torq Performance Engines Custom 298ci3V Engine:
9.3:1 Compression
New Aluminum Production Block
Forged Steel Stroker Crankshaft
Mahle Forged Pistons
Mahle Rings, Locks, and Wrist Pins
Manley H-Beam Rods w/ ARP 2000 Bolts
Clevite Tri-Armor Coated Bearings
ARP Main Studs
FRPP High Volume Oil Pump & Pickup
Canton Road Race & Track Deep Sump Pan w/ Baffles
Brand New Hardened Sprockets & Gears
Brand New Timing Chains, Tensioners & Guides
ARP Head Studs
Ford MLS Head Gaskets
3V Adjustable Cam Gears
Stage 2 CNC Ported Heads (carried over from his N/A build to keep costs down)
Stage 2 N/A Cams (carried over from his N/A build to keep costs down)
Whipple 2.3L Supercharger with Whipple Dedicated 10-Rib Pulley System with IAT sensor relocation
FRPP Throttle Body
Kooks LT Headers w/ Catted H
Magnapack Catback

Almost everything has been replaced with brand new OEM or Aftermarket Performance Components.....the ONLY component being carried over from his old motor is the water pump.

We are upgrading the wimpy Whipple HX with a Afco GT500 Pro-Series Heat Exchanger with Dual SPAL Fans as well.

We are shooting for 16-17psi on pump gas for max boost. It should be a wild ride!

I am hoping for about 600rwhp... All this knowing that the current Tranny and Rear end will be replaced eventually!

That's going to be a monster! If you don't mind me asking how much did the motor cost?

i would assume 650rwhp!

I have spoken with one or two people who have seen or tuned similar setups and to be honest I am being conservative but realistic figures are probably 615rwhp - 630rwhp.... But you never know I could be surprised

Thanks I appreciate the compliment!!!! As for how much I don't mind talking to anybody about it but not in public (I feel it is a little rude), so PM me and I will answer any questions you have!!!

What trans do you have? Bob is right on the money with is estimate, he tuned my car. I assume you removed the check valve in the driver side head so the breather will work, correct?

You know it!!!! I can't give you an exact date but the once the motor is in the car (by the latest on Monday) the fuel sys. needs to be swapped along w/ the Afco.... So 2 weeks I hope, but that is a complete shot in the dark!!!!

You stated a catted Kooks H with this setup??

Yep!!!

Awesome build.....Torq is doing some great work around here. Antonio's ZO6 came out great as well.

I have to say I moved down to So. Fla. about 1 1/2yrs ago and they were the 1st shop I went and the only shop I will bring my car to.... Don't mean to sound arrogant at all; I just trust them!

Not trying to tell you what to do. But at that HP and Boost those Kooks cats wont last and may cause more issues. Ask Boozshey, Greg and Don W and a few others about this. Kooks cats are known to fail when boosted. JMO..

Yes, remove the cats for an offroad setup.
