Big Top this is the S197 site when you start comparing between sites just remember the other sites include the entire Mustang community. The tech here is the best available for our cars and comes from members with real experience and knowledge.

While you're on those fabulous other sites don't forget to check how much oil to put in, what mufflers sound best, if the rear end is supposed to rust and how wide the stripes should be.

By the way SD has never been anything but his abrasive self on this site and even occasionally offers good advice.

If you want to live in the past that's your problem but don't bring it on this site.

Scam Alert - Shannan D Wheeler (aka TrueTenFive) is a crook!! I have been had by a scam artist, Shannan D Wheeler (aka TrueTenFive).

If you have been following the "Bigger, Stronger, Faster" thread, you know that I sent $400 (thru PayPal) for a Teksid block to a guy who now hasn't responded to any attempt by me to reach him for 5 days. Apparently, this guy has been scamming for years, and is well known in some mustang circles, but I have never heard of him.

Ken (Apten) PM'ed me and pointed me to these two threads:

When he and I first exchanged e-mail, he had an embedded signature in it. This is the e-mail address and the signature:

So, assuming this is real info (and not faked somehow), I went digging yesterday and found out that area code 281 is in Houston, TX. Hanover Compressor Co has four Houston locations. One of them has a main phone number of 281-854-3000, and 854-3103 would likely be x3103 at this location. That number is for a Hanover facility at 11000 Corporate Center Drive, Suite 200, Houston, 77041. I plan to contact Hanover and ask them if a Shannan D Wheeler works for them. And if so, are they aware that one of their employees is using the company e-mail system to accept money (via PayPal) for fraudulent purposes.

I will also notify "HOUSTONCOP" who posted in the first thread above (near bottom of page 2), and I will alert PayPal as well.

Man, do I feel stoopid right now.

As for SHM, hmm, well I got my engine mount adapter plates from them. They were a bet expensive but my other option was MMR (that wasn't going to happen) so I got the SHM ones. They took long enough to get to PMP too, but PMP did get them, I don't remember if they had to do anything to get them to work though.
