Hey guys I'm averaging 13ish MPG between a mixture of equal city and hwy. And I don't have a heavy foot really. Please post your average MPG and some possible steps to improve gas mileage. Mods r in signature

I'm thinking you might need to shift sooner and try to keep the RPM's lower. I average in the 19-24mpg range and I generally drive somewhat aggressively. Last time I was on a road course I beat the shit out of my car for a couple hours and still averaged 12mpg.

I usually shift at 3k. But with 4.10 its hard to keep revs down

Change the plugs. Clean the MAF. Change the fuel filter if it's been awhile. Basic maintanence stuff makes a difference.

I'm betting the 4.10's would contribute to the bad mileage too. I'm still running stock gears but will be moving to 4.10's very soon and will know for myself what they do to MPG's.

Im cammed with full boltons and 4.10s and average 17.5 mixed. On the interstate it gets a 21-22 pretty much the whole time.

ill probably try the plugs first, although i heard from the dealer they're good for 100k. the 4.10s helped only slighty in the city but killed my hwy mileage. on hwy best i can muster is about 17-18mpg

I was averaging between 15-17 mpg before the cams, driving agressive. I got a best of 24mpg with all hwy from sd to vegas, cruise control at 75.

My first fill up since cams/headers I got 15.5mpg. I too would like better mpg.

Well I'd say with cams and 4.10's its going to be more difficult pulling good mpg's. Not impossible, mind you. Keep up on your basic maintenance: Fuel Filter every 18 months, regular oil changes, tires always close to optimal psi....shift low

I'm a stock 4.6 with almost 70k on it. 3.55s, cruise control at 65 I get 26ish mpgs, usually about 19 mpg city...I rarely rev above 2k. My average is about 18(includes driving on hwy, driving like a dick, driving easy,)

i was getting 17-18 in town 21 hwy w/ heads, cams (127500), 4.10's, stock exhaust, cmdp's, jlt cai.

i don't usually drive the car hard and it's about a 50/50 mix of driving below 2k rpms and having fun

my 07 GT with a BBR tune, 4.10s JLT CAI, Magnflow X and FRPP axlebacks averaged between 18-22 mixed driving, and that was an auto.

Mine averages 16.X MPG driving very spirited on a daily basis with 50/50 mix city/hwy. If I set the cruise on 60 on the hwy then I pull 23 mph as compared to 28 before 4.10 and lt's with o/r prochamber. Need a tune to fix some of the mpg discrepency.

BTW OP, The dealer reccomends changing plugs after 100k miles on a completely showroom stock mustang. with mods the mileage will decrease drasticly.

if your shifting at 3k my money is on that being your issue. i have 4.10s too and before the blower i was getting 18-19 on the city with a bama race tune and 24-25 on the highway, i shift at just over 2k.

....since the blower however, im almost in the single digit mpg crew and only getting 150miles per tank... boost is addictive
