Need recommendation for a good battery tender

What brand are you guys using? Needs to be something I can hook up and leave hooked for a month while I am out of town so the wife doesnt have to mess with it.

My battery is in the trunk. Any issues with venting while constantly being in a state of charging?

edit: i said an optima battery didn't need venting, but i couldn't find that information specifically on their website. it only says in most automotive situations, hydrogen gas isn't produced

I got a Craftsman one from Sears a few years ago. I paid around $30 for it, and it works great. Comes with three plugs: clamps, permanent wire in, and cigarette lighter. I use the cigarette lighter one.

I have 3 of THESE that I bought from Walmart for $19 each.

I've had them on my Harley for 4 years(never needed a battery), My Mustangs for 4 years(they never needed a battery change either), and my Lawn Tractor for 4 years(it's never needed a battery replacement either).

You can spend a whole lot more if you want, but why?

also a guy i work with has about 6 of the ones from harbour freight and he hasnt had any issues from them. has them on a few of his cars and boat batterys and lawn tractors
