Hello all,

Just bought a mint Saleen PJ. Quick, nimble, tight and great A/C. Very pleased.

I have a number of other collector type cars (Porsche 356, vintage 911s, etc.) but this PJ has really grabbed my interest.

I have a few tech questions, but will look for correct forum here in which to post.

Welcome from Miami, FL

Nice collectable mustang.

Many years ago I had a 73’ 911S… wish I would have kept it. Post pics of your 911.

NICE, that's alwasy been one of my favorite front ends on the early S197's :thumb2:. Honestly prety much the whole car, they did a great job with it.

How does the handling compare to some of the other cars in your collection? I thought my modded '06 handled pretty well until my wife and I picked up a Mazdaspeed3 which is on a whole other level. Curious how Saleen did with the PJ

SPJ was a great looking car that did well to tribute a great guy. Hopefully, you are able to enjoy the car the way you wish. This forum has a wealth of knowledge if you have any questions. Going from a C4S myself to a Mustang, it can be quite a transition, but parts and the like are much easier to source and much less expensive comparatively.

Very much enjoying the Saleen PJ. It is quite a different beast than my other cars, all of which are at least 1000 lbs lighter. The PJ turns in very nicely, corners flat and stable. Way more torque than the Porsches. The power steering leaves decent road feel, but not as good as the lighter cars. The caution point is that at the limit of adhesion, which is quite high with the big tires and Watts linkage, it is still a 3500 lbs car that wants to keep going straight. However, it is all predictable and makes for a fast and exciting ride. Build quality is high, fit and finish very nice.

And of course the Euro cars will never have the A/C effectiveness of a great American car.

Definitely a keeper for me.
