I got some decent runs in last night. Since the last time at the track when I went a 12.01@119 I replaced the stock Upper Control arm with a Steeda Race unit and Adjusted the tune to not pull out timing as quickly with AIT.

The first run I screwed up the launch. I only rev'd to about 3000 and didn't go WOT fast enough. The car bogged hard then took off like a bat of out hell. Here's the breakdown

60' 2.10
330' 5.24

1/4 [email protected]

I let the car cool for about an hour and lined back up. This time I launched around 4500rpm and completely blew the tires off the line. I saw the RPM's shooting towards 7000 so I shifted into 2nd early. The sun had just gone down over the trees and the track had started to go away.

60' 1.74
330' 4.87

1/4 [email protected]

I didn't have much time to let the car cool so I just pulled right back up to the lines and sat for about 25 minutes. I tried to launch the car at 4000rpm and it spun but not as badly this time.

I'm not disappointed with the runs at all. I know there is a TON of ET to be had still with more suspension, and some fresher drag radials. These have seen a lot of street miles. Maybe slicks will be in the future too.

I'm not sure if anyone got the runs on video, I really hope so as I'd love to see a few of the runs from outside of the car. What do you guys think? The car is estimated to weigh about 3750 with driver right now. I am going to scale it next week to see for sure.

Looks good. It takes time to get all of the power down.

I did the same thing with my tune to decrease the amount of timing removed from the IAT's. What are you seeing at the end of a run?

Congrats on the new PB!

But if that thing doesn't run low 10s or high 9s, something isn't quite right.

Yeah, I was going to say with 715 rwhp @ 3750 that mph should be closer to 140mph. Kens car is 4000lbs and at 748 rwhp his mph was 139.

New combos always take some time to sort out though......not going to run the cars potential ET until all of the bugs and suspension is figured out.

I've got stock springs and shocks front and rear. The shocks/struts are original and I am sure in need of a change. I'm also running drag radials with quite few street miles that I am sure have seen better days as far as traction goes. I'm not that good of a driver on top of that.

To ask a silly question, what color is belt slip dust? I've got some light colored dust above the procharger on the top side of my hood. I would have expected dust from belt slip to be black.

congrats on the bests.... practice will get you to be a better driver

as Paul mentioned gotta get the suspension figured out, you should be able to pull 1.4s minimum with that power IMHO
