In speaking with the primary shop, have you discussed taking it elsewhere at there expense? After all they did admit not knowing about these engines!

If a shop tells you they have no experience and you tell them to try, your pretty much F'd.

I understand that. However, the OP stated they are trying to help him any way possible. When do you draw a line and say sorry guys but your time has run out?

Do you have delete plates? When my car was first build it did not and one of the wiring harness's got stuck under the little bird deal and held them open, keeping the car from running right above 2k rpm....

So it looks like we are getting somewhere. Thanks to Lito we have narrowed it down to a fuel delivery issue either with the pumps or the electrical with the pumps. Since i just upgraded the pumps a week before the engine blew I am thinking something electrical.
Out of town this weekend so will have to dive in Monday morning.

Well I think I figured it out. Getting 12v to both pumps, both booths coming on. Decided to take out the pumps and found the fuel line was broken.
If you look close in the picture where the 2 lines come from the pumps into one the plastic y fitting is broken.

I must have broken it putting the pumps in and there must have been just enough pressure to support it running but nothing else.
And of course nobody in town has the y fitting. Had to order. Will be here tomorrow morning. This should be it!

Second one of those I've seen broken in the last week. Somebody else here just had the exact same issue recently.

Glad to see you got it figured out!

Kinda funny. All the dogging on the shop with no mod motor experience and it came down to a part the OP installed.....just sayin

Man you got that right. Even though I am sure one of the well known shops probably could have figured it out and gotten the car done faster, these guys did what they said they would do and stood behind their work.

Keeping my fingers cross I get to bring her home today.

Great news guys! After 2.5 months my Saleen is back at home! It is running pretty well. Just needs a few tweaks to the tune, mainly with the idle, and we are good to go.
What a long journey and almost $14k later it is done.

Thanks to Bruce, Lito and Greg for their help

Now to clean the garage today...

I will be posting more pics of the build as soon as I get the CD from the shop.
