New set of mufflers

I ordered the Ford Racing KR axle backs the other day and thought I might give you guys my impressions after the install. First let me say that I don't have many miles on them yet because I have had the flu.

The install is as easy as it gets. These things fit like a glove. They have a 3.5 inch tips which looks great but I would have preferred to have the 4 inch. These sound almost as loud as my Borla's but there is 0 (zero) drone at any rpm.

At W.O.T. they sound just like the Borla's. The cans are pretty big so you can see the mufflers from behind the car but not a deal killer. The picture is facing up so it looks worse than it is on the ground. I was at my Ford dealership today and I looked under the rear of their Shelby KR500 and they are the exact same muffler. there are a stright through design without any chambers.

Absolutely NO DRONE! Probably my last set of mufflers and I have had alot.

3. Get a can of black high-temp paint and paint everything but the tips black, it will make the mufflers a lot less noticeable from behind the car. I did it with the flows I just put on (they're welded in 40s) and it makes a difference.

wonder what they sound like with longtubes and an offroad x pipe?? i was looking through the videos but don't think any of them had longtubes or o/r midpipes...

on another note... i did find this bad ass gt500 with them on and these AMAZING looking taillights! i just ordered a set for my car!!

In the video the guy says "Horse it a little bit" meaning to give it some gas. I have never heard that before. Who the hell says, "Give 'er a little horse!"? Or "I went to the track and gave 'er all the horse she could handle." Or "I gave her full horse but that Pinto with the 460 big block still beat me."

BTW, I am heading to Rich's town this weekend, perhaps I'll bring the video camera and shoot a short video (assuming wife let's me go somewhere by myself).

UPDATE: I won't be going to Rich's place this weekend so I won't get any video.

Those are the mufflers. Not sure why they don't say KR but he clearly states that's what they replace the stock mufflers on the GT500 with when it arrives at Shelby in Las Vegas.

Just an FYI I have JBA shorty headers and a Ford Racing X pipe. I am also N/A.
