I've been lurking for a while and finally decided to join. This site seems more active than others I've seen for S197s. Recently acquired an 07 GT convertible. Got it so my wife would stop putting commuter miles ony Raptor or using the super duty for short trips. So far I've been driving it more than her.
The car is pretty much bone stock for now other than some Flowmaster outlaw mufflers installed by the PO. Not really a Flowmaster fan but it does sound good. Thinking of eventually installing a turbo or maybe just keeping it NA with cams, tuning, etc.
Already redid the front suspension (Pedder's struts, GT 500 strut mounts, lower control arms, tie rod ends, sway bar links, and bushings). Also replaced a few interior pieces that were broken or worn and added a shifter boot, parking brake boot, and shift knob. Also got a deal on some Raxion smoked taillights. Need new wheels.... Been looking online and leaning towards Bullit or torque thrusts. I'm a sucker for them.

Welcome, you won't regret your decision to join. I've learned so much about my car from the folks on this site. and you're right this site is superior to the other sites I've visited. I too, live in Idaho, about 50 miles from Canada and own this convertible, at 2008 GT/CS. Love the car.
When the salt spray hits the road, the Pony goes to the garage.
