I just added a cai and 93 tune from breenspeed and I'll be going back to the track sat. I was wondering if anyone could give me a guess on what I could expect to pick up. I was disappointed the first time out.
5 spd with 3.55

60' 2.3
330 6.105
1/8 9.1
MPH 80.21
1000 11.827
1/4 14.040
MPH 101.89

13.7 to 13.5 and 95 to 98 MPH..Maybe. The 13.5 would really be pushing it...

How many times have you been to the track? Stock tires or DR's(DR's will help alot as long as you can launch the car) I see your 60' is a 2.3 that's bad and could stay the same or get worst with the new mods. If you need to practice launching, pretend that you have your girlfriend in the passenger side seat and you don't want her to get pissed off when you take off at the light. So you lightly take off, just like at the redlight and each time you go, get alittle more aggressive with the launch. Try launching at 1500rpms and work up to see what's better for you without spinnning them out of the hole. Good luck on it and let us know how it goes.
And don't buy Nitto DR's... If you can get atleast a 2.1 60'f, i'm guessing a 13.6
When i had flowmasters, K&N filter, stock tires and 3.55 gears, i ran a 13.96 at 101mph but a 2.2 60' and getting use to the new style clutch in the stangs. i was always use having a cable style clutch.

thank's guy's, The only other mod (if you can call it that) is flowmaster muffelers. My 60' times were awfull I know. I'll try to do better this time. I was impressed with the mph, but the 2.3 60' is what killed me. Is it fair to say that for every tenth you save on the 60' you can subtrack that off of your 1/4 mile time ? If I could have got a 2.0 60' on this run, it would have been a 13.7 ? If that's the case, I think that's pretty good for stock, the car just need's a better driver.:roflmao: What do you guy's think of the mph ? That seemed impressive to me but that ain't say'en much.

I started off in the same time range. Stock I cut a 2.2 60', 13.95 1/4 @ 101 MPH. After my mods, I cut a 1.95 60', 13.55 1/4 @ 98 MPH. So, my time got quicker due to pulling better hole-shots and shifting better, but my MPH dropped.

Now that I've had a lot more practice I see some major improvements. I fine-tuned my tune a bit to run race fuel, but the car is pretty much unchanged since my 13.55 1/4. Now I am pulling 12.844 @ 110 MPH. I picked up 3/10's with race fuel in the 1/8th, so I am assuming if I ran the 1/4 today on pump gas I should run between 13.1 and 13.2.

Check out my cardomain lin in the sig for a mods list...

nice!!!

i've gone to the track stock and my best was 2.1 60 foot @ 13.96 @ 101mph

I'm going to go soon now with Brenspeed sct 2 93 octane + C&L Racer.

I would be very happy if i managed a 13.5 :)

I can't wait, wish me luck lol.

How where you launching and at what rpm?

I bet you'll do just as good as I did. My stock times were almost the exact same as your's. I found it is a little harder to launch the car now then it was stock, I guess because of the extra power. I tried several different rpm's and found that 2600 to 2700 seemed to work best for my car. Be sure to let me know what your new time's are, I almost went with a C&L racer but changed my mind at the last minute so I would like to know if I messed up. GOOD LUCK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If your gonna run DR's your time should be better than mine. I was on the stock tire's. I bet you can run a 13.3, that's my story and I'm stick'en to it.

maybe if i can learn how to drive her!!

for some reason I find drag racing this car a bit different than the fox body i had i was able to just rev up to 5 grand and dump w/ slicks and skinnies w/ stock suspension and be okay.

I need to learn this car all over again.

that'd be nuts if i got a 13.3 but I won't hold my breath my drag radials are slighty taller than stock being down my 3:55 gears but ill hope for the best until i get 4:10's.

my tires are 275/50R17 M&H radials.

But this time around im going to drive her hard, i was beating my car as bad first time around, i only had it for like a month. Now she has 7,000 miles on her.
