Would it be possible to get a new key with the integrated remote and have it work in my 2005 GT?

Unless the pats system has changed from 05-08 I'd say you should be able to make it happen, if the dealership wants to bend you over try a stereo/alarm installer shop they should have some insight

I believe there is just a combination of relearning a key. My buddy just had the Ford techs tell him how to do it on his 04. I would assume the process is similar. You put the key in the ignition that is already programmed. Turn the ignition on, then off. The do the same with the new key but like 5 times in a row or something along those lines. Definitely something you can do on your own.

Did this to my 07 GT. Procedure is in the owners manual for both the key & remote programming. Just remember you need 2 original keys + the new key to program it yourself. If you only have one original key then you need to go to the dealer or a locksmith to have it done.

I got mine off ebay as well. I got the other style one with the 4 buttons on one side. I think I paid 29.99 shipped. Only problem I had with mine was the remote part for the doors. Theirs would work sometimes. Was a simple fix...just used the guts out of one of my other remotes and it works like a charm.

I bought one a couple years back....it worked till it broke.
The ebay switchblade key is junk.

Programming instructions for your key & remote is in your owners manual.
