So I have the oppurtunity to pick up either a JLT CAI or a Boss Intake Manifold. As much as I'm interested in both, I'm really up in the air..

My current mods are:
Circle D 3600 Stall
K&N Drop In Filter
3" ORX
Kooks CatBack
Shaftmaster
Stock 3.15's
Lund Racing Tune (Also have a BBR)

What would you guys do? The main reason the boss has me up in the air is because of my gears which I will not change. And I hear all kinds of different things on CAI's. They dont make a difference, They gain big up top, I gained 2 MPH, etc..
I really want to invest the money wisely and want something that's gonna make a diffrence. Thanks for any input in advance

I honestly feel the car has enough low end pull with the converter to my tastes. I roast the tires as is from a dig at the track and on the streets.

That's another thing I keep hearing. Them " I gained two tenths" seems to be a hit or miss.

Did u have a stall and gears?

That's another one I'm up in the air about. I'm already running an ORX. What type of gains would I see from switching to long tubes?

About 10 rwhp more with LTs. Boss intake gives gains if you launch around 6K. That means a race type rear tire/wheel, reinforcing the differential, trans brake etc...

I know you said you wanted guaranteed performance, even if its 10hp. I had great luck with a JLT on my 06, but everyone has a differing (and strong) opinion about the 5.0's. I'm in the same situation as you, the choices for NA performance mods on the 2011-13 auto's are somewhat limited. They are such a great platform to start with....

Yea my car definately isn't that lol. Just a daily driven once in a while track car. Unfortunately budget doesn't allow a blower but it's in the plan. Long tubes are also on the list but again goes back to the budget thing.

Im Willing to shift it wherever the the ets will be best. I don't care about sound or the looks. Just want to invest money in a good mod.

S/C is the best bang for the buck...take the money you would spend on that intake or whatever else and save it ...watch for a used kit on here or other classifieds.

Neither. Since you are already roasting your tires, I would invest the money into suspension components to help you hook better.

That's what I need too lol. A 12.8 isn't really cutting it with 2.1 60's. I already have steeda billet lcas and bmr relocation brackets to go with a bmr phb and springs. I was thinking an adjustable uca next.
