if you got the motor out do the shorty's now it'll save you a headache. i love my ford racing shorty's they're easy as hell to install.
yup thats what im thinking....
Why go with shortys and not lt's?
emissions is part of it but if i went with them i would need a new mid pipe too.... kinda dont have the cash for that right now... i know shortys are very minimal in gains, but they do sound real nice when compared to the stock CI headers....

Possibly gay emissions laws?
yea, jersey is a emissions state, they could care less about anythig else on the car.... but at the right private garage and some benji's you can get a sticker.... as long as the car isnt throwing a CEL...

I would go with longtubes with your setup... There will be noticeable power differences between the two.
yup, thats what ive decided on. im going to pick up NYshelby's hooker LT's



Well did alot of work tonight..... check it out

Had to go back over the timing... Had to much chain slack due to improper cam sprocket positioning.... Long story to be honest hahaha.... Re-timed correctly...

Timing chain cover cleaned, prepped, new gaskets installed...

And her she is.... Front cover on and torqued along with the new painted valve covers....

Looks like tomarrow Ill keep on goin....
water pump, belt tensioner, rear main seal, front seal, water cross over...ETC :rock:

yup, finally back on track.....

going to go with hooker LT's and a 15 psi pulley after motor break in.... and thats if all goes well.... haha

also gotta get another set of plugs..... broke 2 of em....
hey anyone know if ill have to drop another degree to run 12-15 psi?

yea to be honest its starting to feel like a burden haha.... so much more to firgure out as far as the remaining mods, the break in tune, tuning after shes broke in, firgureing out pulleys, belt sizes, blow offs.... etc.... im sure you know how that feels matt haha

water pump back on, crossover loosely fitted, along with the shiny thump rrr racing 76mm tensioner...
you can also kinda see my exhaust my the garage door being re-arranged for the hooker LT's that are on the way....

YUP...... and then once you think your good, you think of something else..... my next idea is goin to a blow-thru setup which i gotta kinda do anyway to run around 12-15 psi....
looks like ill be welding a flange in for this one
