Brian found this when we were installing the tach on the blue car. Ford schematics really don't list it anywhere which is kind of funny. But we have 3 coyote stock cars, and he noticed that the cars come with info for mounting a tach to the pcm.

#10 pin on the 70 way pcm connector should give you a free tach signal with no tach adapter needed!

Anytime you can save $100, that's a good thing!

since the control pack came out, the cat was out of the bag.

That doesn't mean everyone knows about or saw that one thread.

I had a guy ask about buying a tach adapter yesterday and I told him he didn't need one.

Good thing no one has bought a coyote in the last year and a half that might find this info useful again....

Is that only on the Control Pack PCM, or is it the same on the S197 Coyotes, too?

I had used a tach adapter for my 3.7 for my window switch when I was running nitrous.. although the tach adapter isn't needed I thought it was made to give you the cleanest tach signal possible
