i can hear this clunking up front, which i assume is the strut mounts, they are stock with eibach pro kit.

will going to the gt500 mounts cure this?

$65 for the gt500 ones sounds like a fix, the steeda ones look way to expensive.

I have the steeda ones and still get a clunking sound if I hit a bump while turning.

I have Pro-Kit springs and Bilstein struts with GT500 strut mounts. I have no clunking issues. I ran the springs for about 5K miles with stock struts and mounts before I got my Bilsteins. I changed my strut mounts when I installed my new struts. Now I didn't have any clunking issues before I switched either so I don't know for sure if they will resolve your issue, but I'm guessing they will.

Tighten up the sway bar mounts and the strut tower.

I done the GT500 mounts 2 times. Its the bump Strut nut/ and or Sway bar endlinks. But American muscle has J&M mounts pretty cheap

Don't be so sure the upper strut mounts are the root cause of your noise. I replaced all the upper strut mounts as per the strut mount TSB on both of my S197s and still had a noise.

Here's what finally fixed mine

My build dates were both prior to that referenced on the TSB. I checked mine by replacing them and it cured both my vehicles. If your build date is after that referenced in the TSB, then you probably don't have the same issue I had.
