Without turning this into a "my tuner guy is better than your tuner guy" thread, its stupid to run the tune that the FI/Nitrous company gives you and think your car will have no flaws what so ever.

Well, that's not what you said before. Gotta agree with your statement above though, it's been shown that manufacturers tunes aren't great. I was refering to tuners like JDM, VMP, BAMA, Brenspeed, etc.

i wasnt refering to them at all. i was refering to the tunes that would come with the kits.

EDIT: And yea you can probably figure it out i dont know all there is to this platform yet, but a car is all the same. Bad A:F is no good. Been that was for a while.

The only choices are a pre-made tune from a competent tuner or a dyno tune. Lots of people using Brenspeed, Bama and VMP tunes with the spray.

That's why I am considering buying a zex kit from Doug.

If you get a mail order tune for any kind of forced induction/nitrous you are asking for trouble, i dont care what anyone tells you on the internet. Get the thing dyno tuned by someone competent if you do something like that.

Serious question for the guys running 100-150 shots...do you have any problem burning plugs? I have been told that after around the 100 shot mark, plugs are going to melt a fairly regular intervals (when that magical interval is who knows)...Im looking to install a kit myself but wasnt sure what hp level to go with, was thinking just 75 or 100...but if your not having a plug issue im thinkin 125...just lookin for some feedback..was probably going to get the zex kit with all the goodies.

I am not running it yet but they are going with a colder plug, like the HTO, when running 100 shot or more. If tuned properly, I don't see why you would go through plugs.

Well I ran a 150 shot for a while, I dont see how you will "melt" spark plugs with n2o. But I did get my share of fouled plugs. Remember if anything n2o really cools down the combustion chamber.

Easy there Android - I am well aware he nitrous kits do not come with tunes unless you buy a tune from a tuner/dealer. ZEX and NX and NOS dont include tunes when they package these kits.
