Nose held on with Dzus fasteners?

I'm thinking about doing this, I saw one of the JPC cars (Polivka) with this at the NMRA race last weekend. Then maybe my nose wont get effed up every time I pull into my trailer lol.

I'v thought about doing that with a splitter set up, but not the whole nose. Isn't this what the 2000 Cobra R used on the bumper?

I already have tire stops, that's not the problem, the nose hits the trailer door while pulling in since the car is so damn low and the nose is so long. I did take some weight off the front of the car while the motors been out so maybe it will sit a little higher this time. The Dzus fasteners would also make it a lot easier to remove the nose for any other purpose also, i.e. if my car breaks and I have to winch it into the trailer, again it's so low I can't connect a cable with the nose installed without damage.

Is that just to pull the car in? Are you leaving the nose off? I know we hang the hood from the race car in the side wall with Dzus fasteners. We also made a fold down alum. 3' ramp to do just that so the headers will clear. to keep it locked to the door we use two push pins on both sides.

No I have never pulled the nose off to pull the car in, since it's too much of a PITA. With the dzus fasteners it would be much easier. Or I just need to get some race ramps to extend my trailer door, but damn they're proud of those lol

Agreed, my 05 has a support just inside each headlight, I'm not sure how that works on the newer cars though. I didn't see anything on the above car, maybe it's a CF nose and therefore may not need extra support? IDK

Yea ours at least hangs off beside the headlights, would probably put some there for additional anchoring, and probably something below that can be easily undone but holds to the k member

Not really....sorta. If you put a "splitter" on it (it doesn't have to stick out past the bumper cover) that attaches somewhere back by the rad support those fasteners out on the edges combined with that will be plenty. I've tested this up to 208mph with no issue. That's with NO bumper behind the bumper cover for support. Nothing but air between the bumper cover and the HE.
