So a few years ago I wrecked my 06 GT, got it fixed, didn't like they way it drove or ran after so I got rid of it. I drove an STi and built a 1990 LX, this was over the last two years. I loved the STi but it sucked as a daily driver after modding it and pushing almost 20psi. The fox wasn't really my style either after being in a newer stang.

I started shopping around for used 2011 5.0's and test drove a couple, loved them but just couldn't come to grips with the car payment I was going to end up with. So one day I was driving around and saw a 2007 Shelby GT sitting on a Ford dealership lot in the area and decided to stop and see what they were asking for it. The price was very reasonable and it had super low miles so after haggling a little I drove it home!

Anyway here are some pics of my former cars and of the new ride! It's good to be back in an S197!!!!

Nice! I know the feeling too, I just got back into a S197 a week ago! I've always loved the Shelby GT's, that exact color scheme too. What mods do you have in mind?

Nothing much, I may send the rear wheels out to be widened and do a few minor things like shorty antenna, quarter window scoops, canton coolant overflow tank and other engine dress up pieces. I blew a ton of money on my other cars and I think I just want to enjoy this one.

The Shelby looks like a keeper.

Thanks, it is!
