Okay gang here's the setup. Factory exhaust manifolds, Lethal Performance OR-H pipe, GT500 single tip exhaust.

Odor question - There is a very light if any smell at all. If that aroma bothers you, you probably need to put the car back to stock and trade it for a Prius, put flowers in your hair, and join green Peace. I never smelled a thing sitting at idle with the windows down in the car, at WOT w 9.5psi boost, decelerating, or starting up cold. All I could smell was new exhaust metal breaking in. Car has no cams no LT's on it. Runs 11.2-11.3 AFR @ WOT. I sat in the garage revving the engine checking for possible leaks with both doors open and noticed nothing.

That's my analysis OP. I say go for it. Even my wife who has a sensitive nose said she smelled something faint but it wasn't exhaust fumes and believe me she grumbled about the 2005 that I mentioned earlier in this thread.

Oh I went for it. Love the sound. Smells a little. I don't mind. I kinda like the smell. My wife doesn't mind either surprisingly.
I may be running a bit rich though since before I installed it I had a check engine light for "fuel rail pressure sensor" I need to get that check out.

Definitely helped my setup. Had 2800 DA air tonight. Went [email protected], [email protected], and [email protected]. Got told to slow down and stay above 10.99 since I did not have a roll cage. Guess I have something to add to this years Christmas list.

Glad you went for it. Get the cars tune touched up and you will be fine. Your tuner can disable the rear O2 sensors. That will also help the slight odor you are smelling. I walked in after being at the track all night and my wife smelled nothing. I smelled nothing pulling in the garage. I have my tune updated though as well. Glad you like the setup. I am very happy with the GT500 exhaust I went to. I only hope it opens up just a little more as it breaks in.

That's some nice times congrats. As for the GT500 getting better, they will. I have had mine on for 3 years, they got better as time went on and then I installed ARHs with OR H pipe and got even louder with my foot in it but still no drone in the lower rpms at normal driving speeds.

Thanks. I am contemplating Stainless Power Headers BUT I need to cage first so not sure how the budget will pan out. Thanks for the 411 on the headers with the GT500 exhaust. My wife rode in the car with me today with no complaints, remarks, or snears so the OR-H with the GT500 passed the "OLD WIFE TEST'. YAY!

Is this color on the tips normal with a O/R setup? Or am I shooting flames?

Not likely. The yellowing is caused most likely from heat transfer over time. 304 stainless is NOT maintenance free.

The only times I have seen "flames" from a properly tuned car is with an N2MB WOT device active on the car at WOT shift points. And believe me everyone knows that sound at the track.

Get out the metal polishing compound and get at it.
