Maybe he's gonna swap them at inspection time. I've done that a couple of times. I use the big daddy's O2 simulators now and they have passed my obd inspection every time.

yes i plan on swapping in the old one back in. Its every 2 years for california so its not that big of a deal. Put it on and forget about it for 2 years

I was going to say, any halfway competent exhaust shop can fab up an h-pipe pretty easily. That's the route I would take.
