Are you going to double key your crank?
That's something i wish i would have done but dident think of till the short block was done its cheap insurance..

For a turbo no. It just adds a second keyway to the crank and balancer. Good for cars with centri blowers due to the extra stress from the crank pulley being further out with another belt pulling on it.

They simply cut a second key (slot) in crank shaft and your crank pulley typical $50 charge or so by machine shop. Just keeps crank pulley more secure less likely for two keys to fail than one.
Its not important for turbo but for supercharger its stronger so cheap insurance. Supercharger is belt driven turbo not. I'm standard single key at 900 rwhp Paxton Novi 2200 no issues yet.
My understand ing is procharger set up is the hardest pressure on crank pulley due to extended two pulley set up. Paxton &Vortech use single serpentine belt 6 or 8 rib. After a build i always think of other things i could have done to make things stronger lol.. Story of my life.:eek:

Did you happen to measure the bores when it arrived? I'm real curious as to what they are. There could be a lot of piston/rod combos that would work if it's not up to final size.

Everything is done @ the machine shop finally ordering pistons this week and hopefully if someone buys my Paxton ill be going twin turbo
