found it :oops1: Good luck, its a hard number to hit and even harder to stay together

I'm concerned about reliably and keepen the thing together, i plan to stay on conservative side on street boost & tune.
Then wick it up at track or when playing hard.
I had the same plan as Dillon for my Boss 3valve until the car was totaled in accident, was already talking with JPC on turbo build. Now i ended up getting the new car so staying with the turbo plan with them. Mines going to be in the 10.5 - 10.8 cr range i believe.

8,050$ sounds ridiculous for turbo 400 3 speed trans you can get a 4r70w with overdrive cheaper. Plus it's friendlier on interstate / 4 lane hwy driving.
The 400 is very strong if built properly but not as highway friendly as the 4r70w.

The 400 can be built to be stronger than the 4R.
If you can live without overdrive and converter lock up its a great option and it's lighter than a 4R..
The only thing stronger than a built TH400 is a pwr glide.
But for street use car I'd do the 400 over glide.

$500 for a good condition 3650. $400 for a barely used 10 spline rst or rxt.

I paid $150 for my RST off of here a couple months ago. Sent it to Mcleod and they rebuilt and rehubbed it.

You did good.
After all my upgrades i had 5,500.00 in my 4r70 with driveshaft it was rated at 1100 hp due to some billet upgrades i don't think that included the Billet converter.

Thanks buddy.

Anyone have any suggestions on gear choice. I have 373 buy I think it's too steep for the th400. The final drive is 1:1
