Guys, a friend of mine is putting this event together at Pittsburgh International Race Complex and is looking to get the numbers up. It is primarily a "Pro Touring" event and loaded with early muscle cars that are stupid fast but is open to all American made makes and models. Given the early numbers, you should get plenty of track time, and at $175 for both days, it is relatively cheap. Just figured I would pass the word along.

Real times, transponders, and 200 treadwear? This looks like fun! If we were closer I'd be there...

Midwest is Memorial Day weekend at the airstrip in Lawerencville IL.

There is a similar event called Day at the Strip in October at the same location. Just an autocross but it is pretty good and you get timeslips after every run. Last year we gotover 20 runs on Saturday and DIDN'T HAVE TO WORK THE COURSE.

It was a good time.

It was originally supposed to be at an old amusement park outside of Cleveland and be a huge 2 day autocross. The dates were set and people had already registered when the site was suddenly no longer available, and another decent site in Ohio could not be procured for that weekend, the even moved to PIRC.

Hmmmm, I have to check my schedule. I think I'm committed to teaching a pre-Nationals school in Virginia. But if not, I think the 1.5 hour hop over there in the Corvette might be fun. :)

Edit: yep, already tied up for two days in VA. Damn. But thanks for the heads up on this!!!
