Passed by the shop at lunch and looked at your car.

The new motor is about to go back in. What are you gonna do about those twin blow dryers?? Think they'll be ok??

Shit I hope so. Only need three races on them before I can send them back to Rick for an overhaul. He was talking about changing the impellers anyway. What I might do is get the engine and transmission in the car then haul it out to California for a roll bar - to - roll cage conversion (along with a few other bars/braces here and there) and have Rick redo the turbos while I'm out there. He also wants to do the install on the MSBC-1 boost controller. Figure I'll haul it out there over a weekend, fly home, work the week, then fly back & haul the car back home. Paul and Rick said they could get it done in one week.

Those fuckers need to live three races. That's all. Just three races.

Then again....I do have the turbo display setup in the trailer. If they crater I can pull the turbos off the display and I'm back in business!!!!

Thanks Don!

We have a 3 day event this coming weekend. Test and tune but the only thing allowed to go down the track is cars with slicks. The track should have teeth!!

So this week we're replumbing the nitrous (we went to Wilson Solenoids and removed the Zex kit). We'll put her back on the Dyno and tune for Nitrous and get ready for this weekend!

We'll make 60' hits on Friday and dial in the suspension a little more for the nitrous. Then (with any luck) Saturday we're going to try and make a number! If the car performs like yesterday and the track is there we might be able to get that elusive 8 second pass. If so........we're just gonna drink beer the rest of the weekend!!:bigbeer:

How is this weekend looking? Weather okay? I'm excited to see the results Eric - best of luck!

Weather should be ok this weekend. We have a LOT of wind today but it should die down by tomorrow. Air won't be anything to rant and rave over tomorrow and Saturday. However.....once that cool front blows through Saturday night......Sunday is going to be one bad sumbitch. High is only supposed to be 61 degrees and very dry air. This will be one of those "mineshaft" days at HRP.

Track prep should be very good since this will be a three day Test & Tune for the NHRA Sportsman racers and local guys. If I'm not mistaken there are no street tires allowed. Slicks or D/R's only.

I believe your right SD! I was talking to Moyer earlier today and he said he was going to 60' Friday and lay one down on Sunday!

He Scott got a good pic of the front of the car last weekend. I think our collective brainstorming with Matt, Ray and Kobie may have paid off!

Good luck tomorrow. Awesome pic---looks like the car is leaving nice and straight.

Yeah, we spent A LOT of time looking at video of the car, drinking beer, spending my money, drinking beer, discussing what needed to change, drinking beer, and changing parts.......while we drank more beer!!

I think SD and the rest of us were there almost 3 hours and 2 cases beer one night just figuring out spring weights!!! LOL

(SD if you want those front springs they'll be in that Box get with Matt and tell him I said you could have them, otherwise there liable to walk off)

kick ass pic eric that thing looks killer one day when i grow up mine will pull the tires too lol ..... good luck this weekend bro

dude, yours is gonna be nasty I can tell! It's getting there! :thumb:

Thanks CK! It'll be great if we can get an 8 no doubt about it! However, it is what it is, and I'll be happy to better 9.15.

Exactly what I thought... seriously flat launch. Very cool!

Well the 60' on my 9.15 pass was a 1.44 I think. We were spraying nitrous inside the 60 on that pass. This 60' was 1.41 with no nitrous. Our biggest problem came when we tried to move the nitrous in closer, we just blew the tires off. Today we'll see if we can get it out of the hole on Nitrous (30% shot).

And with in the next month my new TC will be done.....then we can come 100% of the shot out of the whole!:evillaugh:

Well so mush for having the track prepped just like a national event!

Track was SHIT!!!

All I did was blow the tires off! With weather that is unbelievable (for Texas) and not one record set! Heck hardly anybody made it down the track! Everyone was just a little pissed off!

The only good thing was I managed a 5.80 in the 1/8th at 120. I had to lift before I even crossed the 1/8th car got way loose. And that was with a 1.45 60' spinning bad!

Well here is the video of the runs that were worth watching.....and they weren't many!

This is the same car that was dead hooking last week. I let go of the transbrake on this pass and got my shift light!

It could have been worse the very next guy Blew the tires and blew his motor up!!:angry1:

This is my one pass that was worth noting 1.45 60' and a 5.806 in the 1/8th at 120mph.....watch the 18th marker not only was I out of it i tapped the brakes trying to straighten her out. I would have pulled the laundry but we had a cross wind with 31mph gusts.

The only good thing I got from this was that the car will go an 8 on a decent track...........now I just need a decent track........:angry1:
