So I'm almost done with the boost brother install. Well the install is done just need to finish the tuning.

Ok keep in mind that the boost brother is only for Manuel trans car. ONLY!! And I installed it on a 06 auto car. So of course we had to take the car to my buddy's shop and get some pipes made.

Let's start with con's on the kit. 1 they never said it was for Manuel cars only. 2 the maf mounting flange had some metal in the way that didn't allow the Maf to fully seat. Just took a eat file to fix it no big deal. 3 no instructions at all. We had to use turbonectic online instruction. Again no big deal. 4 the oil tee to feed the turbo wouldn't tighten up as others do. It will bottom out and still leak. We used this liquid yellow stuff from home depot to seal it. Again no big deal. 5. The hood just barly closes. It actually touches the intake tube. The tube are huge. 6 they didn't send any vacuum lines to work the waste gate. 7. There is some brackets that I don't know were they go and didn't use. Haha.

Pros.
It's super cheap. " price"
Don't have to buy a pmas or MAFia cause of the big tube.
Spools real fast.
Nice finish.
All the pipes that I did use fit just fine. Again I didn't use all of them cause we custom made some
Comes with air filter. On3 has u buy ur own but no big deal.
Has a place for a wideband.
Has a degas bottle relocater for those who have on3 u know the lower degas bottle hose runs pretty much against the trubo.

Here is a pix of the car

Thanks for the update!
The issue with the intake tube touching the hood - could that be because of the kit being for a manual? What did you use for vacuum lines and what is a degas bottle?

The guy that did the original design at turbonetics had zero knowledge on maf location design, and the one that copied it, even less.

@ignatwski the degas bottle is the coolant bottle. And not the tube is jut to dam big. And like lito said it's bigger than it is. They made it even bigger before the maf to install this steel mesh to help the maf sensor read more accurate but don't know it's a good thing at this point. Oem ones work great. Te guy who owns this car was thinking about buying another hood anyways. This one still closes but the hood touches it. It will be the case even if u had a Manuel trans. We might just make a new smaller tube and either use a pmas or mafia. Other than that so far so good.

I would just recommend on3 because it all fits but u do have to deal with the oil filter relocater kit. And use as much wrap as u can for noise control.

Someone brought up twin set up. I might just change to that later. Who knows haven't decided yet. Any inputs are welcome.

1200 for the kit plus 150 bucks for wrap extra clamps to hold the wrap and vacuum lines. Also fluids coolant and trans. 200 for injectors 39 lbs 250 for redoing the pipes since it's automatic.

Hey everyone. Hopfully people are still looking into this post. I was emailed by the manager from relentless performance who they now bought out the rights to boost brothers. From he told me is that they current owners are now remaking the long tube headers, and updating the turbo kit to make it fit even better. Took what I said about kit and is now making updates. He also said that the long tube will be remade to be prefect. And the release of the parts will be soon. Hopfully these parts will be perfect. But time will tell. The turbo kit was good just wished the intake tube was alittle bit smaller but all in all it's worth it. Just spreading the word if they do change and make these parts perfect then i would want people to know to get great deals on perfect parts. Since the economy today is soo harsh

I would replace that turbo before it falls apart into your motor.
Have you run one of these? Do you have proof that the turbo will fall apart in your motor? I have the BOOST BROTHERS kit for my sn95 on my 94 cobra. This is my 3rd year with the kit and SAME TURBO that came with the kit and my motor still runs bad ass. The first year with a stock 302 I made 414hp 540 tq the following year with a 351w "please keep in mind I ran the wrong heads that gave me a 8.1 comp lol" I made 400hp and 560tq now This year with the same TURBO that came with the kit I should be around 600 to the wheels "I did get some trick flow tw heads, auto tranny, 78# RC Injectors and tuned on E85" and when it is tuned I will show video of dyno to show the proof in this boost brothers kit. The only reason for being a prick like this is I hate it when people go and bash someone's product because of what it costs. People were doing the same thing for the sn95's untill people started buying and running the kit now it's a completely different story u will find a lot of posts on how the sn95 guys really like there turbo kit. Just because something is cheaper than other items doesn't mean it's a piece of crap. I apploigze if I offend anyone but just throwing some support for RELENTLESS TUNING/BOOST BROTHERS as I have had there kit for 3 years now and still running strong...

It seems to me that the Boost Brother's quality is very hit-and-miss. Other people have had zero issues with their headers, but mine were complete shit and a nightmare to install. The quality of the actual welds and everything was surprisingly good, but the fitment was a joke. Just because one turbo kit from them fits well and performs well doesn't mean they'll all do the same. Sure the price is great, but, knowing firsthand the intermittent issues that company has with producing a quality product, I'd be afraid to try my luck with them again.

At the end time will tell. I can say I have an on3 kit for about a year now and no issues yet. Same turbo same everything. Runs great. And if it does take a shut oh well. Just buy a new turbo then. People here say it will ruin an engine but I'm sure the intercooler will catch all the broken parts before it hits the engine. I seen lots of turbos come apart and not one engine destroyed. Well I'm talking bout diesel trucks now. But anyway. I guess what I'm saying is everyone one has there own opinion on a product. Good bad don't matter. As long as we are honest with the information that we are providing then we should share and not bash each other. So far the on3 kit is good for me. And the boost brother kit is good for my friend. I know it been only on the road for a week but time will tell. And I do hope they fix there product as they say. Then we will all benefit from it. And if u don't trust there low cost trubo. Just upgrade to a name brand. As I plan to do when my takes a shit.

The turbo breaking into the coldside doesnt neccesarily mean engine damage. My biggest problem/concern with the BB kit is a clogged cat especialy since this kit has them pre-turbo. That can definetly cause engine damage.

Oh i see what u mean. So u against any system that uses cats before the trubo. Sts,turbonectics, and BB. I understand now. Just for the record I had a sts turbo on my car for 3 years with the cats and no issues but then again it was only 7 psi of boost and I left COT strategies on. But yeah i agree better to have no cats. But that's the price we pay to be street legal. Would be nice if BB gave out pipes to eliminate the cats
