Either way cam needs to be replaced though. Damaged enough to replace.

So after installing the new cam, I'm now left with another head scratcher...
I'm currently having intermittent issues with what feels like a misfire. Before installing the new cam the cylinder was not firing at all because one of the intakes valves was not opening due to the broken cam follower. That issue is now gone and My exhaust sounds normal again. I followed the installation guide to the T.
What's happening now mainly is when I accelerate sometimes its a little choppy, but not always. Sometimes it does it a little. Sometimes it real bad. Sometimes it doesn't do it at all. Same thing with the idle. Sometimes is rough, sometimes it's normal. The check engine light never came on, but i pulled the DTC's anyway and got P0316 and P1000... still not really narrowing it down. I have no idea what cylinder is causing the issue at this point and no idea where to even start with this... The only thing I can mention is that i didn't replace the valve cover gasket yet. If it was leaking though, wouldn't there be oil coming out or at least smoke? I have neither...
