Guys,

I am looking to replace my brake lines with SS lines. At the same time I am thinking about getting slotted and/or drilled rotors and pads. I would like to hear some feedback about what you installed and your opinion.

Thanks in advance.

I have the R1 Concepts Drilled slotted with no issues or complaints hps pads and earls lines

I put in the Earl's lines and can tell the difference. I'd recommend them. Other than pushing the brake pedal, that's all I've done to my brakes.

Same here and they work great. Whatever rotors you buy I recommend painting the inside of the holes or the slots high temp black. They will show surface rust after awhile.

I've got a brand new in the package set of stainless front brake lines sitting in my garage.

They came with my Saleen 14" brakes, but I've already got stainless lines on the car.

If you're interested, I'm sure I can help you save a few bucks. :)

Otherwise, you'll notice a difference with the pad and line change, more than the rotors. (if at all.)

Honestly, the pads are where 90% of the difference will be found.

If you track the car, drilled rotors will crack. Last week I had one crack through the whole rotor.

+1... Unless the brake package is engineered with drilled rotors (Corvette with the ceramic rotors) the heat will expand the rotor past the point where it will hold together, and it will crack, starting at the holes, which act as stress risers. Hell, I crack OE, undrilled rotors, never mind cross-drilled...

Then why bother. The stock brakes are good. Even those who are road racers, on other forums, have said the only required upgrades are ducts and pads.

The main reason was the SS lines, to get some bite back once the brake fluid warms. I do hit high top speeds, both on the highway and the 1320 - So the pads and SS lines seemed likle a good idea. The rotors are going on to add some show. I have spent alot of time/money on both show and go.
