Was sitting in traffic yesterday and the car all of a sudden started to run really rough and would have no power.

Long story short, on my way home it pulled a P0022 code from the check engine light.

I installed Comp NSR stage 2 cams over a year ago with no issues until yesterday.

I've done some research and my goal is to pull the valve covers and check the phasers and chain timing.

If everything looks ok my plan is to buy new VCT Solenoids, as I have researched that those can go bad (the solenoids were covered in oil on the outside).

But what i noticed when i started it up, there was a very loud ticking noise coming from the PASSENGER side. The code P0022 is for the drivers side but could it be that the Passenger side cam or phasers could be bad?

Hard to believe that my car ran so well until this happened.

Thanks for your input guys.

That's that same thing mine did . All that was wrong with mine, was the screen on the VCT was clogged. That was 2 years ago.

I had the same issue but installed lockouts instead lol.

If you need solenoids let me know, I have 2 new ones I can sell to you cheap. I have no use for them
