Hello Mustang People,
This is my 2006 4.0 V6
I hit a deer about a year ago and have been slowly collecting parts to rebuild my car in the spring. I'm faced of course with finding paint for the parts going onto the car, and so far what I've painted is not looking right.
I went to the paint shop, ordered a single-stage mixture using the colour code "G2" from inside the doorjam, and these were my results. The door, pass fender, and bumpers were all painted, the rest is factory.
There is little to no fade, the car matches really well with the doorjams and unexposed areas. I've tried different samples and types of paint but just can't get it to look like the factory.
I can't get anywhere near the colour or metallic of the original.
