Can it be done? I want to paint the needles on the gauges silver to match the Saleen boost guages. Anyone think it'd be hard?

I would imagine it wouldn't be too difficult. On TMS memphisstylee did a write up on replacing his cluster with a Saleen piece. I talks about removing the needles in there as well.

I think once you get them out, you can just paint them to match what you want and put them back in.

I'm sure others can chime in though.<SCRIPT type=text/javascript> vbmenu_register("postmenu_5747024", true); </SCRIPT><SCRIPT type=text/javascript> vbmenu_register("postmenu_5747024", true); </SCRIPT>

Anyway, I hope I can do this mod. I think it'd look great.

Thanks man. Can I have them lol. I'm thinking about getting my stockers powdercoated to look like the ones from FRPP or what I have seen on a few SGTs.

Yes you can have them. Can I have money?

I want to do this without the risk of completely destroying my gauges. If its an easy mod I'll do it. I dont trust myself enough to mess them up.

Lol well, u can pull the needles off and spray them(harder to do). Or just get a small bottle of model paint and small brush to paint it (easier). Some times gauges can mess up or get out of cal when u remove the needles so be careful with that.

I'm done with pricy mods for a while. I have to concentrate on certain hand worn commitment devices for the short term being.

I bought a 10 dollar emblem and felt bad.

I think if you take it slow and have a steady hand and it should come out fine.

Yeah im not removing the needles. I can paint them while on their with a paint brush and model paint. Just the point of removing the gauges and cutting the face off.

Damnit.. I used to have a site bookmarked that had a bunch of different color replacement gauge needles. Now I can't find it.

I paid $55 for new needles from Saleen.
Kinda pricey but my hand shakes sometimes so fine painting is out the window. blah

Was it easy to take apart the gauges? Any step by step guides?
