I'm getting ready to drop the Maggie Comps off to get the tips high temp coated in satin black. Just wanted to see how many guys have went this route, how they look, and what method you used.

The high temp ceramic coating is only coating me $75.00 for both tips so it's not breaking the bank.

Subbed for results. Thanks.

I believe some of the people here used a can of Plasi-Dip for about $6.50 or so and had awesome results. I plan on dipping mine this summer some time.

VHT Header Satin Black on Magnaflows, I had plasti dip on my Flowmasters and it held up well to the heat just started looking chalky after washing the car a bunch. I like the VHT much better and the Magnaflows.

I did VHT Header paint on mine years ago and it still hasn't faded/rubbed/chipped off. Love the way it looks.

I don't have any pictures, but I painted my Borla stingers with black caliper paint and it was fine.

My Corsas are black chrome which is darker but not necessarily "black"

I used plasti-dip, before I used it I called them and asked what temperature is it rated and I was told 315degrees

Not satin but Maggie muffler deletes with black tips. The crap in the pipe is condensation.

I'll get ya a better picture tomorrow.

You did not just call Magnaflow exhaust Maggie. Please tell me that I fell and hit my head and did not read that.

HA. ive been watching this LA.
I went out and got black grill paint but after reading all this im gonna take it back and ge the VHT but the only VHT satin black I find says chassis paint but withstands 250 degree temps.

I saw the thread where your gonna let that guy borrow your car to run the ring. that's awesome of you to do that for someone. the world needs more people like you.

Haha that's good! Thanks for the kind words too, I would feel bad if he had to pay to drive a Nissan around the ring instead of some American Muscle!

Ceramic Coated

This is the coating that I was getting done. Looks good.

My fear with the plasti-dip is that I've seen some guys say it gets baked on after awhile and begins to flake off.

It looks like the VHT header paint has had lots of success. I may just go that route first to save a little money. It's a $950.00 Catback so I don't want to mess them up by having nicks or paint bubbling on them.

I know the ceramic coating is tough and will last, it's also rated for 1500*+

I had plastidip on my old GT...no flaking but even when I applied more fresh coats I couldn't remove some of it, not even with the bug/tar remover.
