Jesus H. Christ on a fuckin' Stick...........what a shitload of misinformation. I can't leave you fuckers alone for one single day without the bullshit piling up around here.

:thud:

To the op, dont waste your money just get a stroker setup for your block.
How very close-minded (and horribly mistaken) of you. The big bore block will unshround the valves and allow for better breathing from the heads. Big bores have ALWAYS shown to make more horsepower/torque than a stroker.

so the boss 302 wont add hp or tq or be worth it?
Yes, it will. See the above explanation.

cause its only around 700 for the block, how much is a stroker kit?
I'd like to know where you're getting one for $700. Unless they have it sitting around collecting dust the big bore is currently going for around $1300. Strokers are $2K and over.

also if i do get the gt500 pump, and 60 lb injectors with a 3.0 pulley, and build with forged internals...

can i hit 580ish? also will it be safe for 7k or close?
Yes, it can. Yes, it will.

is it worth to buy the stroker?
Not compared to the big bore.

I thought the boss 302 block was for pushrod engines and not for mod engines
Try to keep up will ya?

so with just my 4.6 block, forged internals 10.0:1 compression, arp head studs, high flow oil pump, and Ts billet oil gear, gt500 fuel pump, 60lb injectors, 3.0 pulley(13.5 psi), terminator crank, and a good tune, i can easily make 580-600 rwhp, and 550-600 rwtq?
As others have stated.....10:1 is NOT a good idea for a street car. I'd go 9.4-9.6:1 compression and work the tune from there.

I would go with a lower CR...and yes 60#ers and GT500 pumps will be necessary. Go with stock 9:7 or 9:3 if you wanna run a little more boost.

***Basically what SD stated above....just saw that.

Not unless you have one hell of a good tuner, you have access to or are willing to run very good fuel 100% of the time, and you are VERY careful with that pedal on the right.

i have 9.8:1 now, whats the most you recommend that would be good?

i also like my torque curve right now, if you look at my dyno on my other thread i posted the printout there, i dont want to have too low of compression where all i will be aquiring is peak HP and TQ, you know what i mean?

i want as linear as possible.

I just built almost the exact motor your looking at.
302 stroker 9.8:1 compression
Saleen supercharger/supershaker
3.0 pulley
stock heads with Comp 127300 cams
60lb. injectors
GT500 fuel pumps
among other things

right now for break-in I'm running a JDM Email tune, but trying to get it to the dyno next week to check tune and make a power pull.

I told you already. No more than 9.6:1. Period.

Changing the entire engine combination does NOT mean you're changing the power curve of the engine. That is what a tuner is for. You are changing engine size and boost so things will be moved around a bit. However, your tuner is the one who will make the power where you want and need it to be. As for not wanting too low of a compression ratio...that is exactly why I never use anything below 9.4:1 on a street/strip engine. Less than that and you have a turd that needs more boost and timing to make it responsive on the street when not running in boost.

listen to this man

I'd say 9.5:1 would be ideal if you are wanting this thing to last and be reliable at 16psi (on 93 pump). Having a twinscrew blower sure will help the "turdness". It's not like it's a pt101mm turbo on a 8.5:1 motor running 40psi. That twin screw low end will mask everything

i wanna hit 580ish, with 3.0 pulley, and see my current tune didnt level off, my rwhp was still peaking and climbing at 6400, so it probably would have made 470+ @ 7k....so if i build my engine to handle 7k, maybe it might get close to 600rwhp..

but i want it safe on the road 93 octane and reliable, where i can daily drive it, beat on it, take it to the strip, and do some highway driving too.

with forged interals and a great tune, which i know caleb is awesome! this is possible right?

I'm guessing he's fairly close to Fastlane and can get the engine built, installed, and tuned at one shop. Honestly....I don't blame him. I'd also go with the engine builder's suggestions. The big bore will be a badass.

Fastlane is here in NC and from everyone I know who has had work done by them have been happy with the results, but they can be dick heads to deal with. But not in the sense of you get screwed out of money or anything they are just pompass asses and not very personable. Their tuning is pretty damn good from what I've heard and alot of guys in the peidmont region here use them. But then again I haven't dealt with them personally with my own stuff. And I did have someone tell me they were the last to turn Joe's TT GT, but that could just be a rumor. Their SN95 shop car is freakin sick, big single turbo. And as far as the OP is concerned just talk to Fastlane Motorsports and get them to build your engine, And all of your questions could be answered by searching on here or google and just reading. Reading isn't the devil we thought it was when we were little kids.

they are actually friends of mine, we go to lunch sometimes, and i hang out there alot. i see what your saying, cause it was sorta like that at first..

taylor at the front door is cool, you just have to get to know him, and same with caleb and melvin...

ray is one of the techs there, and he dont seem to like talkin much, and kinda dry personality. but he is cool.

however us-1 is right tho, a 302 is going to be badass....

i have done some research and a few people have gained 50 rwhp from swapping their 4.6 for a 5.0 boss block. and of course a retune.

i bet the torque will jump, i bet if i had a 5.0 in it right now, but everything else the same, it would have been 520rwhp and 500 rwtq.

with a manual transmission what is the most the stock tranny will hold? i dont do hard shifts, or power shifts, and i will be getting a organic stage 1 clutch.

so that its not harsh on the tranny, right now its a stock clutch with 90k on it.
