So mostly off subject but thought I would share... It is hot as fuck in Omaha this weekend (90's with 70% humidity and no breeze) so the detailing is going really friggin slow. I have fans blowing on the car since the cosmic isn't drying. anyways, while I was in the sauna that is my garage today I came across an idea... the ice was melting in my drink so fast I was drinking water with a splash of pepsi. Noticed the applicator looked about the same sized as my glass, and sure enough it fit perfectly. Now my ice cubes are lasting longer than the water or pepsi! Another win for Polish Angel!

Yeah, it sucked working in the heat/humidity and would have waited but I was already committed. I had washed both the wifes and my car and while I was waiting in between coats of her cosmic I was cleaning up the surface of my car so I was ready to go first thing in the morning with the Primer and Cosmic. The wife unfortunately left in the morning to take my daughter to a friends and left the garage door open long enough to let out all of the cooler dryer air I had in the garage. After the first coat I grabbed a box fan and set in in the mud room blowing the air conditioned air from in the house, in to the garage to cool it down and get some of the humidity out. After I let the fan run for about an hour it was easy peasy! Can't wait to get it out tomorrow and get some pics!

What do you have protecting all your plastic trim?

I taped everything off with masking tape. The tape lifted in a few spots so I am up for suggestions on what to use to remove the white from by trim...

IPA and Microfiber. I just did that last week when I washed it. Couldn't get into the deep cracks, but the more visible stuff I was able to wipe off. It took me a bit of elbow work because I had done my process almost a month ago, but I'm sure the fresher it is, the easier it may be.

Yeah, it was 100-105 the other day when I did mine. Stayed a little cooler in my garage but I think I lost a few pounds in the process.

No pics yet as the sun was going down when I finally got it out of the garage but it is really friggin shiny... So from what I have read this coating is good for a year? Anyone know if that is a year in perfect conditions? I live in Nebraska and although it shouldn't see snow it will see rain and most likely salt.

What do I need to wash it with if it has to be something other than basic car wash and what is a good maintenance spray? I am currently using PoorBoy's World Spray&wash and had great results, hoping I can continue using it.

Hey guys, try some of this stuff out for washing and its on sale - use code PRIME for 20% off
http://www.autogeek.net/paint-coating-shampoo.html

As for Quick Detailer's, the only one that Cosmic seemed to like and not streak was Wolfgang Instant Detail Spritz...I've tried a bunch of products

If you guys wanna do waterless washes Meguiars D114 and D115 are awesome. No residue or cloudiness whatsoever...

28One, did you happen to try Poorboy's World Spray & Wash by chance? The wife's car is filthy as it has been driven in the rain a couple times already so gave it a shot on the lower bumper and I don't see any streaks. Hoping I can continue using this stuff for now as I just bought a big jug of it an hate to just shove it to the back of the cabinet...

I will definitely order some of the car wash stuff you recommended as I am sure my current wash is "Mequiers Deep Crystal Car Wash" probably isn't on the approved list... http://www.meguiars.com/en/automotive/products/g10464-deep-crystalreg-car-wash/

Rainy today so didn't back the car out and take pics... only two teasers, one next to the wife's completed car and one with a paint can on the hood. I do however have Lawnmower porn for Boaisy though!!! Only had enough cosmic left for one coat on the whole mower and two coats on the engine cover.

Lol, I was kidding about the lawnmower, but still cool. I would do it to our Zero-turn John Deere, but it tends to get muddy a lot.
