Post up your opinion, should I add heads / cams columns?

I want this to be the most complete, accurate, and useful et spreadsheet for the S197 on the net --- but at the same time I don't want to add columns that either 1) won't be used or 2) people won't post up the info.

What do you think? I would think this would help explain the large differences in n/a times out there. Plus, it may show people who are in the market for this very expensive upgrade as far as who is running what, and what results they have achieved.

Paul, instead of adding more columns, what about just adding one column that could be populated with footnotes. For example, note #1 could be "P&P Heads", note #2 could be "aftermarket cams", etc. Then for someone who has both, the entry in that column would be "1,2". And if other items later are desired, we'd just need to add another note. Let's say long tube headers are something we want to include... add it as note #3. So, for my car, the entry would be "1,3" (since I still have stock cams). There could be others, too... such as "stock shortblock", or whatever. The list could go on and on... if that is what we want.

Just my 2 pennies...

I don't think so---and here is why:

Livernois stage 1 heads, stage 2 heads, stage 3 heads, Comp cams 1 thru 4, etc, etc.

I would like to see EXACTLY what other people are running---like Livernois stage 2 heads with BBR stage II turbo camshafts

UNLESS, we make a footnote for every one of those combos...

I see ur point Paul, however if you incorporate it all the list will be unweildy IMHO

I know it will not work the way you have it set up now, but a hot link to a list of mods in the list might be best, or a link that when u mouse over "pops up" a new window with the mods?

thoughts?

footnotes...

footnotes would be more efficient ie less work on moderators.

MOST Everyone that checks the list would not have a problem looking up what someone is running; and the small percentage that do, have threads on specifics of one kind or another.

I just dont thing you guys need to overengineer the thing....

Paul,

In regards to the NA cars, my input would be to add a column for "Race Weight" w/driver. Provide a more realistic expectation of a cars performance given a similar set of mods.

Excellent point. Someone could actually have a much better engine combo but because the car is say, 400lbs heavier, would actually be slower.

OK, I will work on a footnote type column, and add a race weight. I think not too many will really know the cars weight, however. Every track I have been to (except Irwindale) they always have scales though.
