2013 Ford Mustang GT Automatic 100% stock except Procal Tune and K&N (stock mufflers)

I went to Cecil County tonight...still kinda hot...82 degrees... no cool down for the car.

The car went faster than stock tune... slightly. DA corrected it went exactly 2 tenths and 1 mph faster.

See slip for 4 runs... best run was 12.732 @ 111.52 mph w/ 1.975 60'

All runs were on stock radials at 27 psi.

Note.. that I ran a 100% stock 2014 Mustang GT manual w/ 3.73 in the one run...I guess the procal made the difference...pulled it pretty good by at least 2 to 3 cars.

Mainly because the Procal tune does not adjust anything on the auto tranny. You would probably pick up another 2 tenths and 2 mph with another tune.

Car 4

Last week's action... Worst track prep of the season (until last night)

13.005? Are you kidding me! After adding 4.10's I was hoping to get into the 12's but with a 1865' DA I'm comfortable to say that she will do 12's in a couple months when it cools down.

It's hard when you're spinning the whole time. Nobody was getting traction, even the real race cars.

Yes I was there when the safety guy told him to slow down. It was a very nice run...as I can verify because I am the other car on the slip.( car 159 )

do you feel it made the car looser in the corners?

Not at all. It was installed 3 weeks ago and have driven close to 500 miles since then and it's really no different than stock in my opinion. I wouldn't exactly describe my driving style as 'spirited' though. LOL

Took my new '14 Mustang GT Automatic out drag racing for the first time tonight. It's a heavy, loaded Glass Roof car with navigation & most factory options weighing in at 3860 lbs with me in it (3,680 lbs w/o me). 2 best timeslips are below (12.799 & 12.805). I'm car # 2061. Density altitude ranged from 1000 to 1700 feet above sea level for tonight's 10 passes I made, so I can't wait for cool fall weather to run even quicker!

Stock 302 (5.0L) V8, 6R80 6-Speed Automatic, and 3.15 gears. 600 miles on the odometer, and 100% factory original except an SCT canned tune (91 octane "strategy" tune) and 28" tall M&H 275/50/17 drag radials mounted on 17x9 Drag 31 wheels.

MPH is pretty low. You need to get a real auto tune. Best i have tried are Amazon, VMP, Brookspeed.

Ran 12.2 @ 116 with tune and tires.

With density altitude correction, my runs would have been 12.6's at 113 at sea level. Car is new - not broken in yet - so it'll go faster with a few thousand miles on it. For reference, my '11 5.0L GT went 12.15 @ 117 mph with the same SCT tune and tires w/o any other mods.

I bought my SCT tuner from American Muscle and Bama was supposed to write some of their tunes for my car ("free for life"), but they decided they wouldn't because I wanted the shift points set at 7,000 rpm's and wanted them to write the tunes with my upcoming stall converter factored in. Bama said that's outside of their abilities! The converter is on its way to me from Circle-D (it's a 4E that's supposed to stall to 4,500 rpm's) and it will really help my short times at the track big time!

VMP is the vendor I've be looking most closely at for a "real" tune, though, so I'll compare that to the SCT tune once I have it.
