Thanks Brett... I'm gradually "learning my car" and my times are coming down every couple of weeks. Main difference in my technique this week was launching @ higher RPM & cutting a tenth off my 60' which dropped my ET about 2 tenths. Now if I can learn to use the WOTBOX 2-step launch effectively I should drop to low 11's... I must have a nervous foot when I'm staged - the damned thing just blows right past the RPM setting every time (even though it works perfectly in the pits)... LOL!

I ended up having to disable something in the wotbox software to stop it from blowing past like you're saying. Let me see if I can remember what I changed.

EDIT: I believe what I turned off was the "Lockout RPM" option in the software and I haven't had an issue since.

Muchos gracias dysan... that sounds like the ticket - I'll give it a try. It freaks me out that, every time I get the car staged, I can't make the launch control work, but while lined up before the water box it works just fine...dammit it's gotta be nerves! If I change the lockout RPM that should make it less sensitive to my twitchy foot... I'll report back once I've tried it. THANKS!

I've gotten my car in the 11.5's now. I really got to get a cage cause once I can get a good launch I'll be in the 11.4's or 3's.

OK, you're saying to "disable" the lockout RPM altogether... but does that EVER cause the 2-step to engage when you don't really want it to?

Yea dude, you better start thinking of that cage soon. If you were ever thinking about adding a pulley to the car start doing the lowers. A lot more torque from the lower pulley. This week Chris (cruizing2much) is taking me over to his buddys place that did his wing that came out fantastic. He does cages and I am having him finish mine. So there is a local guy that does good work. We probably can get a deal for both of us. Let me know when you are ready.

I really don't want to have to get into machining the timing cover for clearance and whatnot.

Dont let that stop you. Its really easy to get a 18% to fit and a 15% really doesnt require any change to the timing cover. If you are going to get any balancer, get at least a 10%. Unless you are happy with the boost and times you are running. But if you want to go faster than get a OD one. Like I said, timing cover is no big deal and a easy task. I believe it was just a bolt had to be grinded down.

Steve said that he had success by machining the actual balancer on his son's car. We'll see, but for now I have no reason to change anything. Maybe towards the end of the year I'll do that, but for now I want to get the car more consistent so I ordered the MGW shifter and I'll probably get some CHE LCA's relo brackets welded in for more grip off the line. I'm getting tired of spinning at the line now.
