Powder coating anyone?

I got a buddy who just invested into all the equiment need to powder coat. He will be doing my car soon,

Just a quick update, here my buddy first finish test piece, its a crank pulley powder coated glossy black. Once again for anyone looking for someone to power coat, he is located in South Jersey and will ship.

Geeze...we're all popping up in South Jersey. I'm not doing it as a "business" yet...just here and there for friends. Now after I build my blast cabinet and a bigger oven...maybe then.

Ya, he just purchased a house and is doing the powder coating in his garage. Being a first home owner, he needs all the extra cash he can get.

I've been frustrated with it since it seems the more mods I'm doing to try and get it more consistent and race worthy, the worse it's acting. I've just been driving it from time to time since May and maybe I'll get back to the track with it in a month or 2. I need to really start trying to shed weight from her and get a damn spool in the rear. It worked well at the track with the stock diff but when I busted the spider gears again I put a locker in it and I absolutely hate it. I've gotten used to it on the street, but at the track the little bit of slop it has just seems to hit the tires and I've gotten horrible wheel hop since it went in.

You're going to love a turbo...sometimes I wish I had done that just so I could have some control over the boost.

I chipped chucks off my spider gears when my car was STOCK!
I went with a Eaton Limited Slip Differential, drive like stock minus the missing chucks of the spider gears. I know what you mean by car being worse as you modd it more. My car got faster with the intake and tune, but every modd since it has gotten slower. But I can't blame the car completely, it just taken the some time to get use to it and the drag radials. My girlfriend swears it'll end up running slower once I put in the turbo.

On another note, when we do install the turbo, my buddy will be powder coating my valve covers, tb and maybe a few other things to show off his work.

As for the vendor thing, I don't think this forum as this rule but there was a good rule on another forum I'm on. They basically limit any specific type of item you sell to two per month or something.

For example, I can't sell more than 2 intakes a month, or more than 2 sets of wheels, or 2 sets of whatever kind of item. It basically limits people who can do large volumes of business without paying the vendor fee. I can think of a few on this board who are clearly bulk dealers but who are not paying the sponsor fees.
