Sam, is stock gap on a 07-09 GT500 .044" ? I'm about to change my plugs and coils tonight at home.

.044 will be fine stock, but up the boost any from that 8lbs, and I'd drop it down. I've been running .028 since I got this motor, but I was seeing 14lbs through the 2.9L from the start.

I have the 471's I'm putting in. Intake/pulley/TB should I leave it at .044?

Keep in mind, this is actually the first time I've done plugs on my personal car.

^ Dried crud on the outside of the boot doesn't mean much as long as there's no corrosion on the coil spring inside.

I won't need to retune after gapping to .035" right? Plugs are looking good so far, nothing abnormal. They are gapped at .044-.045"

AND WE HAVE LIFTOFF!

New Coils and Plugs Gapped at .035" fixed the issue!!!!

Finished it all up, me and my GF went for a ride and it is running smooth as buttah. My face has a permanent smile carved into it.

Will do!

Next on the to-do list -

Figure out pulley/idler is making a ton of noise. Makes a ton of racket when I start the car up from a cold start and then simmers down but when I accelerate it becomes very noticeable again.

*Exhaust setup

*Body Shop to get it everything patched up, right now the car looks like shit with electrical tape covering the wholes and just scratches all over the paint.

*Needs camber plates probably from Maximum Motorsports

*I really don't need the TVS but still want it lol.

Don't know if this is how it should work or not, but I did come across this video one day explaining what size to get for optimum power out of headers. It mainly deals with the peak torque, and there is a formula derived from that data to determine optimal tube size.

Oh nice, You are not too far away from me at all. I live in Leesburg, 20175. How long you in town for?

Not very long at all unfortunately. We're going downstairs for breakfast in a minute then heading back north to New Hampshire using I-81, so unless you're on the way, it's not gonna happen :( ...

We're driving an Integra with no A/C, and have 510+ miles to cover today ... I kinda wish we were on the road already ... yesterday's 6-hour stint took us 8 between stops for us and for the car ... we have 8+ hrs planned today ... I, for one, can't wait to get back

Going to be in Reston this weekend helping my oldest brother move. Picking the car up today and need to put some miles on it, so hopefully I'll be driving it down to his place. HIt me up if you are going to be in the area.
