So I did some other things today.

Looked at the wiring diagram again, and came to the conclusion that I'm a retard. The line I couldn't figure out went to the positive terminal on the battery. I was really confused because on the newer cars this line comes off the fuse box.

Decided to install the FRPP rear sway bar.

Hooked up to IDS. DTC codes galore.

Also working on fitting the Hurst stick to the MGW shifter. The GT500 shifter is a little different from the 3V, and I'm having to modify the stick.

Grinding it down.

Wired up and tested the HE fans.

Temporary lines, I'll cover them up when I finalize it all.

For the time being I have it wired up to an eyelid on the fuse box.

Running down the driver side to the dash. Ground is connected to frame.

Pulling it through the dash.

All wired up. Works great. Will be mounted above the headlight switch.

Stock. I ran through all the ideas, and nothing is more appealing to me than the stock look. It's simple, and will bring out a surprise to any bystanders.

Bad ass man, I didn't like any of the other ideas personally. Widening the rears with some 335s like above would be sinister.

The stock Bullitt wheels are $234 each from Tasca, 18" black bullets are about $100 less. Buying a couple and sending them off to have them widened would be a lot cheaper than buying a full set of wheels. At some point I figure I'll end up doing just that.

Did a small amount of work today.

New Brembo brake rotors showed up. Waiting for the pads now. The weather has slowed a lot of items lately.

Redid the wiring for the HE, to incorporate a relay. Fitted the relay under the dash for a clean install.

Waiting for crinkle wrapping to run around it to clean it up.

and while I was mounting the relay under the dash I dropped a bolt under the carpet. When I reached under it I found this...

I am 99.9% positive this is the culprit behind the why my car fob has been shorting out the electrical when I've been hitting the unlock button. This started happening when I had the aftermarket alarm removed. I ran it to behind the SJB, but have absolutely no idea where it is suppose to go. I'll look it up later this week when I have some time. Really pisses me off now I need to correct this.

Congrats on finding that wire. Poor workmanship can ruin a vehicle. It's not just the immediate results but the long term consequences that can really irk you. You'll be happier with the car now that the rogue wire has been uncovered.

I agree. I've actually been on the hunt for that problem for a while. It was so frustrating to unlock the car and then it would remain unresponsive for 30-40 seconds. I'll look it up though and get it sorted out.

Yup, we live and learn though. I learned the hard way many times with this car why I should only be the one to work on my cars.

I'm excited to finish this too. I'm going to be daily driving it a ton this spring/summer. I might even drive it to NC to visit friends in April. I do plan on taking this car instead of the convertible to Mustang Week too.

Update:

-Got a call that apparently the GT500 fuel pumps are on back order or something - who has them in stock and can ship?
-Still waiting for a headlight harness
-Looking around for a good deal on a 13' C/F driveshaft
-GT500 battery tray was ordered off eBay.
-TB should be here this week

-Still need gauges....

Found a midpipe that I'll be picking up in March (moving GF) and I'll be making a bunch of pit stops to buy parts off people lol.
I expect to fire it up that week of the 10th when I get that installed.


Does anyone have pictures of how they relocated the horns on the frame rail? Looking to install that just to get it out of the way.
