So I have just about had it with the car in my sig (07' GT). It's trick, fast and it's nice and all that but it's just too much "Race Car" and not enough daily driver.
GT500's have come way down in price and I'm thinking of picking one up and shooting for a nice, mostly bolt on (minimum of custom parts) 800rwhp daily driver.
But that leaves me with my GT, which at that point would be mostly redundant. I have EVERYTHING I need to put the car back to stock. It would take stripping the car damn near down to the tub and putting it back together with the stock parts, but that's not the end of the world. Of course there are things that will be irreversible (mostly holes and trimmed/ground on bits) but it's a super clean 10K mi chassis with fresh paint.
I've seen where people have put their cars back to stock and sold them/traded them in/etc but have never seen much in the way of details of how that works out.
How much of a hit does the cars value take because of being modded then de-modded in peoples experience?
Was getting a de-modded car sold a problem? Do normal buyers consider them some sort of pariah?
For those of you that have done it do you have any do's and don'ts advice?
Thanks
