I was wondering if any of you have installed QTP cutouts with a catted X pipe. I am planning some post deployment mods and would like to install these but am not sure if there is room to install them as most of the applications I have seen are catless Xs.

Thanks
Jesse

Whether you have cats or not doesn't make a difference. Here's a pic of mine.

Thanks Timmbo! What size did you order and are those the low profile? I can't wait to see how they sound with my Hot Rods and Kooks

They are the low profile. I got them from Summit Racing. Stock Mustang exhaust is 2.5".If your installing them yourself let me know and I'll give you some tips on the installation. Your going to need a hacksaw, Dremel and a welder. I used the left over pipe from the kit to make the exhaust snouts bolted to the valve in the photo. Run your wiring up through the shifter tunnel. I drilled a hole in the tunnel wall to bring the wiring inside the console. There is an unused connector in there for an auto trans console that you can tap for power. I ran the toggle switch coming out the side of the console just under the ebrake handle. Push forward to open, pull back to close. Have had them almost a year now and they still work great. If you got cams like me it will sound bad ass. I get compliments everywhere I go except from Prius pricks lol.

Awesome, thanks guys! I can't wait to do it. I want to order the parts and have them ready upon my return. I guess I need to order the 2.5" versions then, running Kooks LTs.

I have the QTP and generally leave them closed most of the time. I've gotten on it hard a few times and if it spins near redline in first or second and hit the rev limiter with the 2step it will backfire a little bit and that has bent my blade. So now mine is partially open all the time. It got bent back when it was at the shop last week and its already back open. I do love it though.
